The Equitana Asia Pacific show in Australia has fallen victim to the horse flu outbreak that has hit the country. The organizers of the biggest horse fair in the Asia-Pacific region have decided to postpone the event and hold it once the risks posed by the influenza have been averted. The fair, an offshoot of Equitana in Essen, has been held every two years since 1999 and was to have taken place in November in Melbourne. The new dates for the show have been announced as 20 to 23 November 2008.
