Pet Fair Asia

Record year in Asia

2024 was a record year for Pet Fair Asia. From Shenzhen and Shanghai to Beijing and Bangkok, all four pet shows enjoyed record attendance.

Both exhibitor and visitor numbers at Pet Fair Asia speak for themselves: Pet Fair South China (Shenzhen) as well as Pet Fair Asia (Shanghai), Pet Fair Beijing and Pet Fair Southeast Asia (Bangkok) recorded a significant increase in 2024.

Pet Fair South China in Shenzhen at the beginning of December marked the end of 2024 for Pet Fair Network, one of the world’s largest platforms for the pet industry, organised by Globus Events. But it is not only the record number of visitors that has the organisers looking forward to the new show year.

The 8th edition of Pet Fair South China was held in Shenzhen from 6-8 December. More than 350 exhibitors with over 2 000 brands were represented on a gross exhibition area of 50 000 m2. The fair was bigger than the previous edition and was attended by 89 278 visitors. The 9th edition will be held again in Shenzhen from 5 to 7 December.

Pet Fair Asia, the flagship event of the Pet Fair Network in Asia, is one of the largest pet shows in the world. It is held every August at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). Since its inception in 1997, the show has gone from strength to strength: the 26th edition, held early last year, was the largest yet, covering 300 000 m2 of gross exhibition space and attracting more than 2 500 exhibitors and 124 000 trade visitors from 91 countries. More than 380 000 consumers and pet lovers attended the last two days of Pet Fair Asia. The 27th edition of Pet Fair Asia will return to Shanghai from 20-24 August.

The third edition of Pet Fair Southeast Asia took place at BITEC in Bangkok, Thailand in October 2024, confirming its reputation as the leading international B2B pet show in Southeast Asia. The growing show, jointly organised by Globus Events and VNU Asia Pacific Co. Ltd, brought together over 400 exhibitors from 32 countries and more than 10 000 trade visitors from 81 countries. The 4th edition of Pet Fair Southeast Asia will be held in Bangkok from 29-31 October.

Finally, Pet Fair Beijing, which takes place every February, is the first event of the exhibition year. With Globus Events’ recent acquisition of a majority stake in China Pet Expo (CPE), also in Beijing, the two shows will be combined under the Pet Fair Asia Beijing brand to become the second largest pet show in China. The upcoming combined show will run from 27 February to 2 March.
