During the intervening thirty years Tropical has gained a considerable amount of experience, developed new technologies and formulas, improved old products and introduced new ones. To ensure an even higher degree of freshness and allow a longer period of storage, Tropical has introduced innovative soft packaging units known as "Doypacks", which are made of barrier foil and packed using an inert atmosphere. The unit includes a zip closure, which ensures ease of use and continued freshness regardless of the number of times it is opened.Wide rangeAll products are highly esteemed and recommended by both hobbyists and aquarium fish experts such as Jack Wattley, and have received awards at various fairs and competitions all over the world. The "Mini Wafers" for example have recently been awarded a gold medal at Pet Fair, the biggest pet trade event in Poland. In addition to fish foods, Tropical manufactures a wide variety of notable care products for aquariums and garden ponds. These include a variety of test kits, pH adjusters, water conditioners, aquatic plant fertilisers, and products for stabilising the biological equilibrium of the aquarium as well as for preventing and treating many diseases. The company's range also includes high-quality biological filter media, spawning cones for discus, complete foods for turtles, tortoises, and iguanas, and substrates for the terrarium and insectarium.
