A new approach to customer care

As the name of the event suggests, the aim of Tommi Trendy was to introduce the brand new products developed during the last six months at Tommi and new trends in pet care to retailers and through them to the wider public of breeders. The company was thus breaking entirely new ground, for according to Tommi no such event has taken place so far in the Czech Republic. Due to the success of the event's premiere, Tommi Trendy is to be staged regularly every two years henceforth. The company also presents itself to the international pet supplies trade at Interzoo in Nuremberg and to Czech customers at the Propet Fair show held in Brno in conjunction with an international dog exhibition. To get as close to its customers as possible, Tommi Trendy was staged in three different places: in Pilsen, Mladá Boleslav and Olomouc, so that customers did not have too far to travel. The concept was a success, with representatives of 235 firms attending the events. Pet supply retailers and wholesalers were there, along with the proprietors of grooming salons and other representatives from the pet supplies sector. At the Tommi Trendy event visitors were shown some interesting new products that are gradually being introduced into the speciality pet trade in the Czech Republic. Highlights included:
"Fresco", a new brand of tasty meat pieces in tins for dogs and cats;
"Jack Roll", an extraordinarily attractive semi-dry food for dogs;
"Cat's Dream", a collection of resting and scratching trees for cats, following the opening of a new factory for manufacturing cat furniture;
"London", transport bags for small animals;
"Marwell", a new collection of fashionable collars and leads.
There was also a lively programme of events in the margins of the show for visitors, including an opportunity to win valuable prizes, for instance an espresso machine or an LCD television. Sport and games lovers had their own entertainment as well: for customers who visited the company at the Propet Fair and who are familiar with the Tommi roulette and darts, Tommi introduced an innovation - dicing and basketball. Customers had the chance to win a discount in these games. One important aspect was that everybody won, some more, some less, some with the help of luck and some thanks to training. One of the features of Tommi Trendy was a culture programme. This was put on by the members of the "Czech Club of Dog Dancing" and in Olomouc this featured the only man in the country who practises this modern sport…
