British pet shop chain Jollyes has opened its first shop in York, creating 12 new jobs in the region. The York team includes Aquilla Fisher, who has been promoted from supervisor to deputy manager after four years at Jollyes, and Tom Hurley, who moves from the Doncaster shop after eight years with the company.

The new shop will offer, among other things, the frozen raw pet food range as a shop-in-shop. According to the company, Jollyes has expanded its branch network by 50 per cent in three years.
