Pet retailer Jollyes has confirmed the opening of its next two new stores, in Chichester and Pontefract, on 14 March. Both stores will be launched with opening ceremonies led by retired police dogs supported in their later years by the National Foundation for Retired Service Animals (NFRSA), Jollyes' national charity partner.

The NFRSA supports the care, welfare and rehabilitation of retired service dogs from across the family of emergency services - Police, Fire and Rescue, Border Force, National Crime Agency, NHS and Prison Service. All Jollyes stores are raising money for the NFRSA, with Jollyes matching the total amount raised up to 20 000 GBP.

Both new stores will offer pet owners access to Jollyes' raw food freezer cabinet and veterinary clinics providing essential veterinary services such as microchipping and vaccinations. Jollyes has employed around 20 staff in each of the two new stores, which are managed by Chris Ratcliffe in Chichester and Meg Percival in Pontefract.

In the last three years, Jollyes has increased its store base from around 60 to well over 100, creating well over 400 jobs.

Jollyes says 2024 has been an exceptionally strong year: The pet retailer received new investment to fuel its growth, was named UK Retailer of the Year at the prestigious Retail Week Awards for retailers with a turnover of less than 250 mio GBP, and made its first appearance in the Sunday Times list of Britain's best large companies to work for.

In January, the company made a major strategic move by slashing more than 3 000 prices across more than 100 stores (as reported by PET worldwide).
