Lucio Scaratti aims to strengthen the role and visibility of FEDIAF

Lucio Scaratti, general manager of Purina Southern Europe, has been unanimously elected new president of FEDIAF, the European Pet Food Industry Federation, a point of reference for 22 associations and 450 companies operating in the European pet food sector. He replaces Hardu Burmester. Lucio Scaratti, who has over 18 years' experience in the pet food sector, is the current vice-president of Assalco, the National Association for Pet Feeding and Care in Italy, as well as the Assalco delegate on the FEDIAF executive committee. Lucio Scaratti has already outlined the programme guidelines of his mandate, aimed mainly at: strengthening the role and visibility of FEDIAF and consolidating its international standing outside European markets also through collaboration with the principal institutions. In 2009 Lucio Scaratti will take charge of the FEDIAF Annual General Meeting, to be held in Italy.
