Pet Supermarket, a pet specialty retailer with over 225 locations in the Southeastern United States, has announced the appointment of Harry Freed as senior vice president of merchandising. In this role, Freed is responsible for all merchandising and e-commerce business functions in Pet Supermarket's nationwide service territories and expanding online operations. He is part of the executive leadership team and reports directly to CEO Rich Tannenbaum.

Previously, Freed was President of Pet Family, a division of Pets Corner, one of the largest pet retail chains in the UK. He successfully led brand and merchandise launches and oversaw all aspects of Pet Family's business, private label, field sales, real estate, pet services and overall strategy. Prior to joining Pet Family, Freed spent over a decade in the pet industry at IPP and PetSmart, managing field sales and merchandising.
