Iams Germany closes a branch

On 1 May 2008 Procter & Gamble International Operations S.A. (PGIO) in Geneva concluded a distribution agreement with Nash & Nunki for the Federal Republic of Germany. The managing directors of Nash & Nunki AG are Peggy Pleines and Alwin Kessler, who were distributing the “Nutro” brand previously and have extensive experience of the pet product sector. Nash & Nunki is starting out in Germany with a field sales team of 15 people, including some former employees of Iams Germany. No changes in the working relationship with the wholesale trade are expected as a consequence of the new distribution structure. Iams Germany, a subsidiary of the Deutsche P & G Unternehmensbeteiligungs GmbH & Co Operations oHG, ceased to be responsible for Iams business on 30 April and has been closed. PGIO will develop marketing for the Iams products in cooperation with Nash & Nunki in future.
