First MAC certification in Germany

The first marine ornamental industry operator has successfully achieved the certification of the Marine Aquarium Council (MAC). The importer Meerwasser Center Menzel, based in Büchenbach, has been independently assessed for its operations ability to comply with the international MAC standard for husbandry, handling and transport of marine ornamentals. According to MAC, the certification of Meerwasser Center Menzel is an important step for the organization in Europe and most particularly in Germany, the largest importer of marine ornamentals in Europe.
