The company points out that Solid Gold is the country's first holistic pet food brand, and it can also be described as a pioneer with regard to the introduction of other products too. In 2006 Solid Gold launched its first grain-free dog food, following this four years later with its first grain-free cat food. Solid Gold was recently awarded the top honour for package design innovation, receiving the Package Design Best of Show Award at the 2017 PAC Global Leadership Awards in Malaysia. The pet food company also received the Gold Award for Brand Marketing, Brand Revitalisation-Non-Food. The awards were based on enhancements made to its core line of products in 2016.
