With its partner Summit Business Consulting, which is based in Pretoria, South Africa, Hunter has been operating the world's first Hunter kiosk since November. The kiosk is located in the Menlyn Park Mall, one of the largest shopping centres in Africa. Hunter sells only its own products and no outside brands on its 12 m2 retail area. "The kiosk's range includes around 800 SKUs. Special attention has been paid to products that consumers can take away with them, such as toys, bowls and treats, along with collars, harnesses, leads and other items. For reasons of space, however, especially large items like sofas and transport boxes have been omitted," Hunter spokesman Robert Vollmer explained to PET worldwide.

The brand store benefits in particular from the set, established CI guidelines for product presentation as well as lots of images and other design elements, such as display tables or seats," adds Vollmer.

Pilot project

Like all Hunter brand stores worldwide, the Hunter kiosk solution is also operated by a Hunter customer, in this case Summit Business Consulting. To realise the kiosk solution, Hunter worked jointly with its partner on implementing the pilot project. Summit Business Consulting is now planning another Hunter kiosk in Durban, and initial talks have already taken place regarding other locations for the kiosk system. Now Hunter aims to gain a foothold in South Africa. "As one of the strongest economies in Africa, South…
