As in previous years, the fair benefited from the strength of China's economy and the growing demand of its population for pet products, which has attracted the attention of the big brands in China and abroad. CIPS 2014 acted once more as an important international trade and exchange platform, which brings the international pet industry together on an annual basis. Last year, exhibitors came from 20 countries and regions around the world. The buyers welcomed to Beijing came from 70 countries around the world. The 946 exhibitors displayed items covering all aspects of the pet supplies industry. According to the statistics, there were 542 pet supply exhibitors (57.3 per cent), 373 aquarium supply exhibitors (39.4 per cent), and 31 general exhibitors (3.3 per cent). CIPS 2014 thus fully represented the latest developments in the pet supplies industry.
