A professional service

The new project, which has been given the name Zoo-Land, offers more of a family pet centre than a pet shop in the traditional sense. The idea of the pet centre was conceived and developed by Master-Zoo, a brand already well known in the Ukrainian market with 50 stores around the country. According to marketing surveys, however, a pet store well equipped to a high standard is no longer sufficient for the average visitor. For this reason, the decision was made to offer customers something more. The idea had already been formulated and, despite the fact that pet retailing was already very well developed in Kharkiv, it was decided to trial the pilot here.

The first Zoo-Land shop was opened as a feature of the city’s central park and was included in the strategic programme for the development of this part of the city. The opening of the store turned into something of an event for the visitors, as it coincided with Kharkiv’s Town Day. A special entertainment programme with a drawing competition for children, a school of behaviour with pets for the youngest children, clowns entertaining etc. lasted in the square near the shop for two weeks in a row, however, as it proved very popular with the city dwellers. They had a unique opportunity to have a photograph taken with a white lion cub, which was brought there from the zoo for just three days.
Zoo-Land in Kharkiv’s central park is far from being the biggest shop, but it offers customers a different experience. It is a place for people to come in while walking in the park and to see animals, learn how to treat them properly and also to purchase all the items necessary for day-to-day care.

Despite the fact that the new project was only launched recently, another Zoo-Land shop is also opening in Kharkiv. Designers have worked hard on the new shop, which in addition to exclusive interior design features an aquarium gallery, which is unique within Ukraine. The company is particularly proud of this, as the best aquascapers in the country were invited to set up an extensive presentation of freshwater and marine aquariums.
