The French company Num’ Axes introduced its first training collar for dogs back in 1994. Since then the electronic collar range of the French market leader, which also distributes outdoor products for dogs and cats, has expanded significantly. Today the manufacturer employs a 50-strong workforce and exports its products all over Europe and to Russia, the USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Distribution in the destination countries is carried out by importers, wholesalers, distributors and retailers depending on the country and the market, says the enterprise. Exports to foreign countries account for around 40 per cent of Num’ Axes overall sales, according to the company. 60 per cent of its global turnover derives from France. The head office and production site of Num' Axes are in Orléans, close to Paris. The two collars are intended to stop the dog from barking by means of beep sounds and static stimulation of different magnitudes and lengths. As well as the “Canicalm” range, Num’ Axes offers the “IKI” products “Sonic”, “Pulse” and “Voice”. These are intended to prevent barking using ultrasound and vibrations among other things. In the field of GPS location for dogs, the French firm has presented another new product: the radio and GPS tracking system “Navidog”. The set comprises a collar with a bark and movement detector and a receiver…
