With 115 exhibitors in an exhibition area of over 17000 m², the success of Dibevo was assured in advance – and no-one had anticipated the high number of visitors, totalling almost 7000. Another striking feature in view of the show’s brief duration of just two days was the expenditure lavished on many of the exhibition stands, some of which were very large. Most of the renowned pet product companies from a number of European countries were present in the two halls. Germany was well represented, with companies such as Animonda, Dennerle, Flexi, Gimborn, Tetra, Tyburski, Quiko and Sera in attendance. The majority of exhibitors were Dutch firms, principally wholesalers, importers and branches of familiar brands such as Beaphar, Ferplast, Happy-Dog, Iams Pet Food, Juwel and Royal Canin. Some manufacturers and speciality trading companies were also present, however, including Versele Laga, Witte Molen and Omaha (Pet`s Family).
Witte Molen had a successful showing at Dibevo.

Account Manager Debby Schreuder commented: “We have been able to establish various international contacts with other importers at Dibevo and are now hoping for good follow-up business.” Another company on the look-out for further international business links was Belgian firm Draynecs of Maaseik, exhibiting the lightweight cat litter “Catokay” for the first time at the fair. And Italian company Hydor sees the Dutch pet product industry as an entirely new market with great possibilities. This is what brought the proprietor of the company, Valerio Bresolin, in person to the fair to engage in numerous discussions with a view to finding an importer for the Dutch market.

“Dibevo is a really important fair for the Dutch industry,“ said Herbert A. Ellerstorfer of Europet. The company is based in Holland, with a branch in Germany, and thus observes both markets very closely. The Dutch market is considered to have developed very well over the last two to three years.
