Trends and issues in the packaging industry

On 30 January, the global packaging industry will gather in The Hague, the Netherlands. The organiser of the Packaging Conference 2025, the Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA), presents the final programme. The event will feature keynote speeches, expert panels and interactive discussions - all of which will be of interest to the pet industry's private labels. Industry leaders will present forward-thinking strategies that provide a clear path for the future of packaging and conclude with valuable insights to help navigate the evolving private label packaging landscape," said Peggy Davies, President of PLMA.

The programme includes a number of retailers sharing their views on brand identity and the growing role of e-commerce. Another session will focus on sustainability and retailer/supplier collaboration. The psychology of packaging design, packaging effectiveness and performance, the future of smart and connected packaging and the potential of AI as a competitive advantage will all be explored.

Finally, the winners of PLMA's 2025 Salute to Excellence Packaging Awards will be announced, recognising the best in private label packaging design, convenience, sustainability, performance and innovation.
