The leading British pet retailer Pets at Home relaunched its Pet Care Centre at New Malden, West London, as newly designed flagship store. This 2.2 mio GBP transformation marks the single largest investment in Pets at Home’s estate history, claims the company in a press release. At 27 360 sq ft (2 544 m2), this centre is featuring an increased range of services such as a newly refurbed and extended veterinary practice, premium facilities such as a luxury Pets Grooming Salon with more capacity and more.

This new look flagship Pet Care Centre boasts a host of new features and spaces tailored to meet the evolving needs of pets and their families: a dedicated nutrition hub with an increased range of fresh, frozen and raw food options, an expanded health centre, a team of highly trained pet care advisors to support with free advice, an expanded cat area which will feature premium and own brand products typically only available online, the largest live Pet Zone combining small animals, aquatics, and reptiles in an interactive space, a pet adoption centre and pet food bank donation point, a new community zone, featuring a designated recycling and charity donation area, seven new tills, and interactive screens to help educate customers with their pet choices.

The Companion Care veterinary practice in New Malden has now completed its rebrand to Vets for Pets and continues as a locally owned practice, run by Practice Owner Michelle Akande and her team of 24 highly skilled vets, advanced veterinary nurses and experienced client care advisors. The vet practice has almost doubled in size and now features six spacious consultation rooms, upgraded imaging suite, including a state-of-the-art digital x-ray machine as well as a new ultrasound machine and a new rigid endoscope, a second operating theatre, and a new dental suite.

The new look Pets at Home Pet Care Centre is open seven days a week. With this new opening, the company has now invested a total of 25 mio GBP in estate interventions this year alone.
