Cargill honoured

US-based Cargill wins new animal feed award at Fi Europe in Frankfurt. At the food ingredients trade show, innovations in the food and beverage sector were honoured in various categories with the Fi Europe's Innovation Award. From dairy alternatives to pet food innovations, everything was represented.

Cargill, with over 120 years of experience in the pet food industry and a presence in around 40 countries worldwide, won the newly created Pet Food Innovation Award for its TruPet Postbiotic. According to the manufacturer, this novel product is unique in that it promotes gut health, immunity and vitality by nourishing a rich gut microbiome. TruPet makes up a fraction of a per cent of the finished product recipe and can help pet food brands innovate and differentiate. It retains its efficacy under modern pet food processing conditions.
