Coveris appoints a group sustainability director

Coveris has appointed Dr Martin Berlekamp as its new group sustainability director. The European packaging company has committed to a sustainability strategy aimed at avoiding waste in any form. Part of this strategy is the new ReCover business unit, which offers unique recycling solutions for the packaging industry. By appointing Berlekamp, Coveris has now created a basis for successfully implementing the company’s ESG (Environmental Social Governance) agenda and assuming a leading role in the field of sustainability in the packaging industry.

Berlekamp previously headed the sustainability department of the Adapa Group. His experience of the global packaging industry includes key positions in research and development (R & D), product management and technology development at sector leaders such as Klöckner Pentaplast and Liveo Research.
