At the start of March, the Dutch pet store chain Pet's Place opened its biggest store yet in Venlo, according to the Belgian trade magazine Pet & Garden Pro online.
The new store is reported to have a 2 500 m² retail area. It is run by Mark van der Heijden, who has worked for Pet's Place for 36 years: "We have twice as many dog treats as other stores, for example, and no less than 17 metres of dog leashes," he said. He intends in this way to meet the needs of the growing numbers of customers from the Netherlands and Germany.
Another new feature in Venlo is the Pets Place Boutique. Novel toys and gifts for dogs and cats are on sale here along with luxury items such as fragranced shampoos, leads and wipes.
