The Italian specialist retailer Arcaplanet says it has opened 44 new shops this year. According to the company, which was recently acquired by Germany's Fressnapf Group, there are now a total of 70 stores across Italy that have been designed using the new format.
The new concept puts the customer and their pet at the centre of the store and aims to create a more personalised shopping experience through intuitive navigation to products and services. In addition, the use of plastic has been reduced by up to 90 per cent in the interests of sustainability, and energy consumption has been cut by 25 per cent by optimising lighting.
To meet the needs of all pet owners, Arcaplanet strives to offer an increasingly wide range of selected products and services. In some stores, for example, there are pet washing stations where customers can wash their pets independently and comfortably, thanks to comfortable baths and hairdryers. Some shops also offer a click-and-collect service, allowing customers to buy products online and collect them in-store with a single click.
