Today, seven area sales managers are responsible for the customers in the UK. They look after them by taking orders, handling complaints, presenting offers as well as assisting with store design and merchandising. Martin Hume has been with Trixie ever since and is therefore also celebrating his personal 10th anniversary. The customers and area sales managers have the support of Trixie's six-person back-office team, which provides advice and ensures smooth processes from the company's headquarters in Tarp in northern Germany. All logistics are also managed from there.
In 2018, Trixie promoted Russell Cook to the new position of national sales manager for the UK. His role is to drive and manage growth in pet accessories and help retailers and his team reach their full potential. In addition, Jana Suhr succeeded Henning Bundtzen as back-office team leader in 2020. 2021 was a challenging year for Trixie, as the company was faced with new regulations due to the UK withdrawal from the EU. The company solved this problem in June 2021 by establishing Trixie UK Pet Products Ltd. Following this step, CEO Volker Haak said "we can now ensure the sustainable supply of the 6 500-item range to the UK without additional administrative work involving customs or authorities. Trixie is therefore confident that we will be able to ship goods to UK customers just as easily as in pre-Brexit times and is well prepared for the next 10 years." As Trixie wants to thank its loyal customers in the UK for their support, the company is promising some so-called "Trixieversary offers" throughout 2022.
