The aquatics company JBL intends to stage an aquarium world championship at its headquarters in Neuhofen on 28-29 August 2010. The competition will feature a hobby category and a professional category. The world event is preceded by several national championships, in which the respective champions will be decided in both categories. Up to the beginning of October, JBL had received pledges from societies, importers and associations in five countries: France, Great Britain, Spain, Germany and Russia. The aim of the competition is to reignite an interest in fish-keeping. Close cooperation between aquarium hobbyists and specialist dealers is assured.
