The Belgian pet store chain Tom & Co. has acquired Barq Europe, the largest online veterinary pharmacy in Belgium, the Netherlands and France, known as Pharma Pets (Belgium, Netherlands) and Vetostore (France). This acquisition positions the new 100 per cent Belgian entity as the undisputed leader in the pet market in Belgium, a growing player in France, and a formidable challenger in the European market.

With the acquisition, which will continue to operate under the same names, Tom & Co. aims to significantly accelerate its digital development and to strengthen its expertise and customer service further. The company is also taking its first steps into the Netherlands.
