Paolo Ongari, director of Nestlé Pet Care Ibérica, will be president of the organising committee of Fira de Barcelona's Mascota show, which will be held from 1- 4 October in the Montjuïc exhibition centre. He is assuming this new role as a “great opportunity” to contribute to the development of a key event for the pet sector in Spain. Paolo Ongari joined the Nestlé Group in 1993 where he is currently director of the Nestlé Petcare Ibérica division. He is also chairman of the board of directors of the Asociación Nacional de Fabricantes de Alimentos para Animales de Compañía (ANFAAC), which represents over 80 per cent of companies dedicated to pet food in Spain. As president of Mascota, Ongari believes that the show is “the best single platform to bring together all operators and lovers of pets, since they will share business opportunities, product innovation, training and entertainment”.
