Stefanie Kropff, Eckhard Lindemeier and Ron Segboer are expected to continue running the company. Founder Gerd Blaschke is likely to assist in a consultancy role during a transition period

The investment fund Perusa Partners I has taken over Karlie Heimtierbedarf GmbH in conjunction with the company’s management team. Perusa has been watching the pet supplies sector for some time and its decision to take a long-term interest in Karlie is based on the company’s internal structure, according to a press release by Karlie. The company, which was established by Gerd Blaschke and his wife, is thus repositioning itself and diversifying to meet the challenges of the future, preparing the way for further European and global growth. The management triumvirate of Stefanie Kropff, Eckhard Lindemeier and Ron Segboer will continue to run the company jointly, with Gerd Blaschke acting in an advisory capacity during the transition period. Perusa GmbH was established in 2007. According to the company’s website, its team comprises experienced investors and entrepreneurs as well as crisis and recapitalisation managers. The fund that it advises has substantial capital and includes medium-sized companies as well as corporate groups with an extended value enhancement potential.
