The French Agrobiothers Group strengthens its expertise in hygiene and grooming and expands its presence in Europe "with the acquisition of KW, the Danish No. 1 brand for grooming products for dogs and cats," the company reports in a press release. Following the acquisition of Bogar in 2023, Agrobiothers is strengthening its expertise in the hygiene and grooming market in Europe with this acquisition.

KW was founded in the 1960s by Kate Winther as a brand for her colleagues in the field of high-quality professional shampoos and grooming products and developed into the leading supplier of shampoos and cleaning products for dogs and cats on the consumer market in Denmark.

The Agrobiothers Group, through its Swedish subsidiary Gibbons, intends to develop the KW brand in the Nordic region in addition to its existing brands Vétocanis in France and Bogar in Germany and Switzerland. Gibbon and KW are expected to be merged by the end of 2024.

The integration of KW is part of a strategy to build a portfolio with competent and high-quality European brands that is bearing fruit, explained Matthieu Lambeaux, CEO of the Agrobiothers Group. Since 2020, the Group has increased its brand sales in Sweden, Norway and Finland by 2.5 times.
