Fressnapf became majority shareholder in speciality chain Zoomart on 3 June

On 3 June Fressnapf became the majority shareholder in Belgian speciality chain Zoomart. Fressnapf is thus intensifying its operations in the Belgian market and can now control business there in a more direct and therefore better way. The company has had a minority interest in Zoomart since 2005. The latter belongs to Fressnapf’s Dutch partner Jumper, in which Fressnapf has had an interest since 2001. Zoomart is already using Fressnapf’s corporate design and stocks some Fressnapf private label products in its stores. The 21 Zoomart stores currently operating have retail areas of between 500 and 900 m², and four more outlets are in the pipeline for 2008. In 2007 Zoomart’s sales amounted to € 19.7 mio. It expects sales of € 23 mio in 2008.
