Made-to-measure aquariums

“Like a tailored garment” is how the Italian manufacturer Ferplast describes its “Star” aquariums. In addition, the company offers the “Star made-to-measure” service, in which an individual aquarium is planned, developed and created depending on the space available and on the customer’s particular requirements. According to the company’s press release, the aquariums can be designed freely in the desired dimensions. Starting out from two basic depths of 52 or 62 cm, Ferplast will design for a customised length, height, lamp combination, filter and the requisite accessories. Tanks are thus constructed that fit to the centimetre. The service also provides for aquariums to be adapted to architectural requirements, for example as a room divider between kitchen and living room, as part of a fireplace or even between a stereo system and the television. The company stresses that each “Star” aquarium is thus an exclusive and unique feature.
