Provimi acquires the assets of SESA

The Provimi Group announces the acquisition of the assets of SESA, a private label pet food company located in France, one of the top three pet food markets in Europe. This acquisition is fully in line with the group's strategy of expanding in higher margin categories. Provimi is the number three private label pet food producer in Europe and this acquisition reinforces its position in this market. The production assets of SESA have been acquired by the newly created entity Provimi Pet Food France. The production facility is centrally located in Sens, south-east of Paris, and the company employs around 60 members of staff. SESA was founded in 1992 and produces both dry pet food for cats and dogs and semi-moist pet food for dogs. The current total production capacity amounts to 50 000 tonnes.
