PetQuip aims to promote international trade

PetQuip – the International Trade Association of Pet Equipment Suppliers – has been established to promote and support international trade in the pet supplies sector. It is being run as a separate trade association by Gardenex (Federation of Garden and Leisure Manufacturers Ltd). PetQuip is intended to act as a catalyst for contact between manufacturers, suppliers and international buyers, and manufacturers and suppliers of pet equipment from all over the world can join. Business links with British importers in the pet supplies sector are also being established, for example with independent retailers, chain store groups, mail-order companies, wholesalers and distributors. The head office is located in Kent. Day-to-day business and the development of the association will be the responsibility of general director Amanda Sizer Barrett, while Neale Hutchinson has been appointed trade association manager.
