The story of H3D begins modestly in a garage in Oyonnax, France, 30 years ago, when Denis Heitz, faced with the challenges of effectively removing ticks, decided to design an innovative tool. After several prototypes, he had a plastic injection mould made, leading to the birth of the Tick Twister tick remover. This first model, pat ented in 1995, quickly stood out from other instruments on the market, offering a simple and effective solution.

The Tick Twister tick remover is designed with the tick's morphology in mind. This tool does not compress the tick’s abdomen during removal, thus reducing the risk of disease transmission. Its twisting action allows for gentle removal, minimizing the risk of breaking the tick’s mouthparts in the skin.

Over the years, H3D has continued to innovate to meet the needs of its users. Among the key developments is the micro tick remover, designed to remove very small ticks, such as larvae and nymphs. At the same time, the ClipBox was created: a small carabiner-shaped case that offers a practical solution for carrying a tick remover and keeping it within easy reach during walks or hikes with family members or pets.
