Beeztees | KARLIE

"A big step forward"

Beeztees and its German subsidiary Karlie have opened  a new logistics centre in the Dutch town of Waalwijk, just a few steps away from the Beeztees headquarters.

The new location, which was officially inaugurated in mid-April, enables Beeztees and Karlie to provide their customers with even better service, says the company. This is made possible by an optimised fine-picking process, reduced replenishment and by increasing the efficiency of the overall logistics operation.

The entire team worked hard to set up the new location and move the inventory (of over 8 000 different items), according to the company. The capacious warehouse covers 23 088 m2 with a mezzanine of no less than 11 metres wide along its entire length (228.6 m). An automated lift system, new shelving units, a modern canteen and up-to-date workstations have been installed. In addition, there is an operational pallet storage area with a capacity of approximately 27 850 euro pallets and ample space for the varied, innovative range of pet supplies. The headquarters (as well as the showroom) will remain at the old location, just a short distance away.

By knocking down a wall of outer boxes with the text “Let’s grow together & create happy moments”, the owners Guusje & Job van Riel – figuratively – created a passage to the future. The focus will be on growing and improving together as a company and of course creating moments of happiness for consumers and their pets. Obstacles and challenges are always there, but the company is excited about this big step forward and is focusing confidently on its future goals.

Beeztees has been a family business since 1969 and operates from Waalwijk in the Netherlands. The company is an international wholesaler and brand supplier of pet products, delivering to pet product retailers throughout the Benelux states and exporting to almost 50 countries. Beeztees also has the following own brands: Beeztees, Designed by Lotte and Karlie.
