Focus on natural nutrition

Winner Pet Food Solutions was set up by Toni Testa in 2003. Based in Rome, the company has developed into an international player that now operates worldwide. In the last year the company has introduced a new wet food line for dogs and cats under its Winner Plus brand. It contains safflower oil, which is rich in vitamin K and linoleic acid for a healthy skin and coat and incorporates an anti­coagulant and antitumoral action to prevent heart disease. Also new is an exclusive holistic line, which is manufactured without the use of cereals and is rich in phytotherapeutic components: 
• medicinal herbs (marigold, fennel, chamomile, peppermint, parsley, fenugreek seed, chicory root, liquorice root, carob flour); 
• red fruits (dog rose, raspberry, blueberry, chokeberry).
The company highlights the anti-aging and anti-inflammatory effects of this food.
The product range also includes a variety of dry premium and super-premium foods, along with complementary food and treats. Winner Pet Food products are sold in places ranging from Tenerife to Hong Kong, and the company works with 27 suppliers in all, located in twelve countries. Apart from its domestic market in Italy, Winner Pet Food Solutions counts Spain, Greece and the Czech Republic in particular among its key markets. 

The company is proud to report that its complete foods consist entirely of natural raw ingredients. All products are manufactured without chemical colourings, flavourings or aromas. Potential allergy sources such as eggs and wheat are kept to a minimum, as are genetically modified raw ingredients, soya and sugar, stress the manufacturers. The natural nutrition system of Winner Plus caters to the needs of all breeds and life cycles. 

Strict standards, which also govern the production of human-grade foods, are applied to the procurement of the raw ingredients and to manufacturing, according to the company. Production is constantly subject to strict controls. Raw materials are identified and selected according to the company standards in order to be processed later on in the German facilities, which have GMP+DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 and HACC quality system certification.
