The Russian pet supplies business has long needed a large-scale trade exhibition in Moscow, the organisers say. It is the economic, political and cultural centre of Russia, its transport hub and the location of major players in the pet industry. Moscow and the Moscow region account for 50 to 70 per cent of Russia’s pet supplies business. ParkZoo will be held in Sokolniki Exhibition Centre, which has large hotels and easy access from any part of the city. The exhibition will cover three pavilions with a total floor space of 10 000 m²; 70 per cent of the exhibition space has already been booked up. The organisers stress that they have already received confirmation of participation from several leading foreign companies. Natalia Morgunova, the director of the ParkZoo trade fair, says of the planned show: ”Park is the place where people can meet: pet product manufacturers, aquarium and landscape designers, distributors, retailers. The full range will be on show: products for dogs and cats, decorative birds, exotic animals and rodents, aquarium and terrarium products, veterinary, specialised literature.” Public day for end consumers An extensive educational programme for retailers, wholesalers and vets is planned. There will also be a public day, so that manufacturers can meet their end consumers. Furthermore, the organisers intend to include an innovation zone where exhibitors can show the latest arrivals in their product range, and at the end of the exhibition there will be a parade leading up to the presentation of the Innovation of the Year award. The organisers are confident that the new exhibition will be of interest not only to Moscow businesses. Regional companies will also benefit because all roads lead to Moscow, practically from wherever you are in Russia or for that matter, from abroad. The organisers will also provide visa support for visitors and participants from abroad and assist with hotel reservations. Download: ParkZoo - a new trade show in Russia (PDF file)
