“It has been a record event”

For four days the Messe Bologna was the showcase for a Zoomark that was impressive this year. “It has been a record event,” enthused the show organisers, and there was good reason for their elation: 636 exhibitors from 37 countries and a lot more visitors than two years ago, if the initial figures were anything to go by. The number of international visitors is thought to have increased significantly, which seemed to be confirmed by the impressions of the exhibitors. The way in which the halls were clearly laid out by product category attracted special praise, as it made it easy for visitors to find the exhibitors of their choice quickly. The many new products on show at the fair also met with great interest, and we feature some of these below. Ferplast The Italian accessories manufacturer Ferplast brought many new products to Zoomark. One of these was “Flippy Tech”, a new retractable dog lead range. According to the company it is very reliable and sturdy, featuring an innovative patented control system suitable for all kinds of hands. It ensures maximum comfort also for long nails, since dog holders can control their animal by simply pressing on the ergonomic button and moving easily from a blocked position to a released. “Flippy Tech” is also available in a trendier version, “Flippy Tech Décor”, with bright decorations on the product shell thanks to an innovative technology. Finnern The German pet food manufacturer presented “Rinti Nature’s Balance” in a completely new, natural design. According to information from the company, the products in the range have been further optimised in terms of acceptance and digestibility thanks to a refined meat composition and improved chunk shape and size. Among other things, the dog food contains functional components such as devil’s claw and pomegranate. The addition of a 185 g can ensures that the small dog category, which is an important group for moist food, is targeted more specifically. Another new variety is Junior. Imac Italian accessories manufacturer Imac served up several new products in Bologna. One of the most interesting was the “Lilo Forest” (picture) range of small animal cages. The base of these cages is produced from natural materials, specifically wood fibres and resins of plant origin, while the matching accessories are manufactured from wood from sustainable forests.
