Ziwi Peak Ltd. of New Zealand is a family-owned company specialising in the production of high-quality pet food ingredients for distribution worldwide. The company has been exporting since 1992 and currently produces 12 000 MT per annum. Against this proven background, the company offers its own retail brand “Ziwi Peak”. Managing director Peter Mitchell explains: “All products are formulated on the same balance of meat ingredients that cats and dogs would find by hunting in the wilderness. No colours, salt, sugar, chemicals, artificial preservatives, fillers or grains are added.” Peter Mitchell started his career in the venison industry in the early 1980s when he began exporting meat to the US and Europe. “At a time when there was a gap in the market for quality pet food ingredients, we set about servicing requests for quality ranch-raised meat ingredients for use in the manufacture of pet food,” Peter Mitchell continues. “The result has been the processing of super-premium mechanically-deboned meats and organs for supply to pet food manufacturers.” Healthy range The “Ziwi Peak” family is made up of a range of contemporary pet nutrition products that pets and owners love. It’s available in treats for rewarding good behaviour, a complete food for daily vitality and dietary supplements for the promotion of good health. It only uses all-natural ingredients that are ranch-raised (free of antibiotics and hormones) on New Zealand's green fields, or fished from its clear blue waters - ingredients with no colourings, preservatives, fillers or grains. The products are suitable for feeding pets at any stage of life. The manufacturing process is unique and meets the highest international quality benchmarks in a controlled, sophisticated plant.
