The special koi pellets come in threea categories to cater for different sizes of fish.
The koi food range has also been changed, with the three types of special koi pellets coordinated to fish size categories: “JBL Koi mini” is for young koi 10-20 cm in size, “JBL Koi midi” caters for fish measuring 15-35 cm and “JBL Koi maxi” is for large koi measuring over 30 cm. JBL states that the pellets are perfectly suited to the nutritional requirements of each group.
Tetra of Melle has extended its range to include the premium food “Tetra Pond Koi Sticks Energy” and the growth food “TetraPond Koi Sticks Junior” as well as the familiar koi foodsticks. “TetraPond Koi Sticks Energy” are floating foodsticks for koi with a body length of over 25 cm. Unsaturated fatty acids ensure greater vitality, according to Tetra, while biologically active colour enhancers maintain the brilliant natural colours of the fish. The sticks are also suitable for building up reserves of strength ahead of the cold months as well as for strengthening the defence systems of the fish swiftly following the winter resting period.
