For food-sensitive dogs
Masterfoods’ new “Pedigree Sensitive” is based on particularly easily digested ingredients such as rice and lamb that are known to be very well tolerated. What is more, the new food contains no wheat, eggs or soya protein, which are frequently connected with food sensitivities in dogs. A special mix of anti-oxidants including taurine, vitamin C and vitamin E helps over and above this to strengthen natural resistance. Linoleic acid, biotin and selected minerals are also used in combination with skin-protective vitamin E for a sleek, glossy coat and healthy skin. According to information from the manufacturers, “Pedigree Sensitive” was developed by vets and scientists at the Waltham pet food centre specifically for food-sensitive dogs. Since small and medium-sized breeds are on average more sensitive than large ones, Masterfoods is making “Pedigree Sensitive” available in handy 2 kg bags.
More fun at feeding time
Nestlé Purina Petcare promises that its “Doko Dual Advantage” is a dry dog food with a totally new product concept. It is a prebiotic dry dog food with a balanced vitamin and nutrient content. The company claims that this places the product in the “functional food” trend. It makes a positive contribution to the animal’s well-being, which is ingested with the food. The prebiotic component of “Doko Dual Advantage” is chicory, which only develops its effect in the digestive tract, where it increases the count of good “bifido” bacteria. According to the manufacturers, this has a positive effect on the intestinal flora, which are kept well balanced. An extra advantage offered by this new food is its teeth-cleaning effect: the mixture of big and small croquettes in the food provides support for the dog’s natural chewing process, which results in cleaning the teeth and reducing the accumulation of tartar. “Doko Dual Advantage” is available in 3 kg, 7.5 kg and 15 kg packs, each size in “Junior”, “Adult”, “Light”, “Active” or “Senior” versions, with the one exception that “Light” and “Senior” are not to be had in 7.5 kg packs.
