Agria animal insurance is taking a consistent customer-friendly step by waiving the right to cancel in the event of a claim. This was announced by the Swedish company in a press release. Unlike other providers, who allow the insurer to cancel the contract after a claim has been reported, Agria now offers its customers a high degree of reliability from the first year of insurance – "permanently and without restrictions", it says.

For pet owners, this means that even after expensive surgeries or repeated treatments, full cover remains in place and claims will not have a negative impact on the contractual relationship. This long-term protection is designed to build long-term trust, as responsibility does not end with the first veterinary bill.

“We see on a daily basis how emotional and stressful pet illness can be for pet owners. Adding the fear of losing the insurance is unacceptable to us,“ says Peter Bornschein, Country Manager of Agria Animal Insurance.

Agria Djurförsäkring was founded in 1890 by livestock owners in Sweden and is now the leading provider of animal insurance in Sweden with a market share of 60 per cent. Agria operates in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Ireland. In addition to animal insurance, Agria offers free digital veterinary advice via the Agria app. Agria employs 650 people and has a premium income of 600 mio euros in 2024.
