Two new regional presidents

Mars has announced the appointment of two regional presidents for its pet nutrition business in a press release. After five and a half years at the helm of Mars Pet Nutrition Europe, Deri Watkins has been appointed President of the company's Developed Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Paolo Rigamonti, the former General Manager of Mars Pet Nutrition UK, Ireland & Nordics, has been appointed Regional President of Mars Pet Nutrition Europe. Both managers took up their new positions on 1 March.Watkins has successfully led the company through one of the most challenging times in recent history, successfully navigating the impact of the Covid pandemic and subsequent supply chain bottlenecks, Mars praises. He also played a crucial role in supporting sustainability efforts.Rigamonti headed up the Pet Nutrition UK division at Mars from 2022 to October 2024 and then headed up the UK, Ireland and Nordics cluster until March of this year. In his role, the manager has also championed the rights of pet owners and made progress in creating pet-friendly rental options in the UK with Mars Pet Nutrition's Better Cities for Pets programme.
