With a large supporting programme, Interzoo offers visitors valuable information beyond the actual trade fair visit. For example, a sustainability session will be offered on 7 May from 1 to 3 pm in NCC Ost: "How sustainable is the pet industry and what can manufacturers and retailers do to become more sustainable?” The organiser states that “in the English-language Interzoo Sustainability Session, trends and developments relating to sustainability in the pet supplies industry will be highlighted and explored in greater depth using best practice examples". The session will be moderated by Dr Rowena Arzt.
On 8 May, the Country Session Europe will take place from 11 am to 12.30 pm, also in NCC Ost. Javier Munoz, research analyst at Euromonitor International, will give an overview of trends and developments in the European pet industry, focusing particularly on Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Afterwards, Svein A. Fosså, president of the European Pet Organisation EPO, will shed light on legal aspects against the background of the EU decision-making process. The event will be moderated by Antje Schreiber, head of ZZF/WZF communications. The following country session, Brazil, will examine the differences between the Brazilian pet supplies market and other markets. In addition to a presentation on the facts, figures and trends of the Brazilian pet supplies market, Alexander Schmitt of Alexander Schmitt Consulting will also present the import and export conditions. And on Thursday, the focus will be on Southeast Asia, moderated by Konstantin Rohé, PR officer for Interzoo at ZZF and WZF.
Other sessions will focus on the topic of social media with André Karkalis, managing director of Tony the petfluencer agency, and another country report on the USA. In this, Michael Johnson, consumer strategy principal at BSM Partners, will talk about the structures and trends of the US pet market. The session will be moderated by Dr Rowena Arzt.
