Placek Pet Products opens new warehouse

Czech specialist retail group Placek Pet Products has opened a new warehouse in Podebrady, around 60 kilometres east of Prague. The hall was built on a 10 000 m² site and offers 15 000 new pallet spaces, giving the Plaček Group a total of 25 000 m² of storage space and 40 000 pallet spaces at its 4-hectare distribution centre in Poděbrady. An administration building covering two floors is included, in which the sales departments of the various distribution channels are housed.

With the construction of the new hall, the transport and technical solution was also modernised, enabling the trucks to operate smoothly. Incoming and outgoing goods are now at a new, higher level, which is also helped by the new access road to the entire site.

The Plaček Group operates almost 390 Super Zoo shops in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Dino Zoo in Latvia and Kakadu Zoo in Poland.
