Grainli moves into pet food

Hamburg-based company Grainli, a global supplier of raw ingredients for breweries and food since 2008, has expanded its range to include raw materials for pet food production. “This strategic decision constitutes an important step in the company’s development, enabling us to diversify the product offering and open up new markets,” announced Andries de Groen, Grainli managing director. BayWa AG has been one hundred per cent shareholder of the company since 2016.

To underpin this new orientation, Guido Sandberg has been appointed as pet food expert. He will support the company with his knowledge and skills in the areas of international trade, quality management and logistics planning as well as his specialisation in purely vegetable raw ingredients.

In the course of this reorientation, Grainli will also be represented at Interzoo in Nuremberg for the first time to present its extended product portfolio and develop its network in the pet sector.
