In response to the flooding in Eastern Kentucky, Southwest Virginia and West Virginia, Purina is working with Greater Good Charities, a global non-profit organisation, to help pets and people in need.

Purina is supporting the relief efforts with a donation of more than 80 tonnes of dog and cat food – valued at more than 200 000 dollars – from its US manufacturing facilities in Clinton and Davenport (Iowa), Dunkirk (New York) and Mechanicsburg (Pennsylvania). The donation will be given to local animal welfare organisations that care for homeless pets and is intended to help ease the burden on pet owners' families, the company said.
