Ongoing inflation and high prices are shaping the buying behaviour of European shoppers. This is the verdict of a customer survey by retail expert Sensormatic Solutions.
The United Kingdom tops the table in this respect. 82.5 per cent of consumers here indicate that price is the deciding factor when purchasing gifts, followed by Spain (80.3 per cent), France (78.6 per cent) and Italy (75.7 per cent). Germany is at the bottom of the list, with price constituting the most important aspect for 73 per cent of consumers when it comes to Christmas gifts for 2023.
