The Range buys Wilko brands

Following the collapse of the UK households goods chain Wilko, it has been reported that competitor The Range is to acquire the Wilko brand for GBP 5 mio. This could mean that Wilko will not completely disappear from the UK market but will be integrated into stores belonging to The Range. It had already been announced that the Poundland store chain was to take over 71 Wilko shops. Wilko also sold pet products in its stores.
