L Catterton invests in Withmal

The globally active investor L Catterton has announced a strategic investment in Withmal, a growing veterinary services company in Japan. The transaction will enable Withmal to step up its expansion in the large, attractive Japanese market for veterinary services and increase the number and quality of contact points with pet owners.

In Japan, the veterinary services market is growing steadily and is heavily fragmented: most of the nearly 13 000 pet clinics in the country are small businesses. Withmal offers them options for widening and improving the standard of pet care.
