At the beginning of February, Turkey and Syria experienced a catastrophic earthquake, which killed thousands of people and damaged or destroyed more than 300 000 buildings. People and animals were and still are urgently reliant on foreign aid.
As part of its “Tierisch engagiert” (“Committed to Pets”) initiative, the Fressnapf Group established an emergency aid fund immediately following the disaster and committed 10 000 euros to this. Fressnapf customers across Germany have since shown their generosity by donating nearly 55 000 euros to the fund. This will make a substantial contribution to supporting people and animals in Turkey and Syria with essential relief supplies.
The sum donated will now be passed on to beneficiaries of Fressnapf’s “Committed to Pets” initiative, including the German Animal Welfare Association, Unicef, the Aktion Deutschland Hilft alliance of German aid agencies and I.S.A.R Germany.
